Printable print tracing worksheets covering the digits 0 to 9, 0.66 inch letters, 2 sheets on US Letter and A4.

This set covers the digits 0 to 9, one per row, across 2 sheets. Letters are about 0.66 of an inch tall measured to the top writing line. Half the toddler height: small enough to fit more practice on a sheet, large enough that the hand is still learning the shape rather than the size.

The letters to trace are broken outlines, so the hand carries the stroke between marks rather than following a solid shape.

Each row has a solid top line, a dashed middle line at the x-height and a solid baseline. The middle line is what makes letter proportion teachable: a letter that overshoots it is wrong in a way a child can see without being told.

Letterforms are Andika, a typeface designed for literacy teaching with the single-storey a and g that primary instruction uses — not the double-storey forms found in most text faces.
